I’m nicole
Բարեւ ձեզ! I’m Nicole, a Los Angeles native, hiker, diver, and husky mom. As an aviation physiologist with an emphasis on flight safety for the past 18 years, my job has taken me around the world, sometimes to places less travelled.
Which brings me here as an amateur and aspiring travel photographer.
I found an interest in travel photography when I first purchased my DSLR camera back in 2014 while living in Tucson, AZ and subsequently took that camera with me everywhere. Since then, I’ve moved to Rapid City, SD, Misawa, Japan, Albuquerque, NM, and currently reside in the National Capital Region, or the DMV.
I started this blog in the fall of 2014 but due to work, constant studies, and major life events, I hadn’t maintained it for a very long time. This blog was meant to serve as a journal and as local travel guide, sharing my love of food and drinks in the many places I have lived. I’ve decided to pivot and focus more on photography with a touch of story telling. As my career begins to wind down and I inch towards retirement, I’ve decided to pay a bit more attention to my hobbies and self-learning.
